Innovative and exciting compositions by gender diverse composers.
I’ve written a piece for one piano, multiple players, which will be premiered at the MRC as part of the Summers Night program.
The Summers Night National Women’s Mentoring Project is a biennial project established to support and mentor female and non-binary composers to create a new composition, in the aim of growing the gender diversity of composers in music programs Australia-wide.
This year’s selected composers are Aviva Endean (VIC), Hilary Kleinig (SA), Bree van Reyk (NSW), Kate Milligan (WA), and Frankie Dyson Reilly (QLD) and the pieces will be performed by Gabriella Smart (piano), Vanessa Tomlinson (percussion), Aaron Wyatt (violin/viola) and Tristen Parr (cello).
